Sample Weekly Shares

Here is a sample season’s worth of weekly shares, this example is from the 2012 season, but is fairly representative. Generally speaking, when the weather is bad for one crop it is good for another.  Note: Shares start small in the spring and gradually build in size.

June 12th Pickup #1:

Red Romaine lettuce, Boston lettuce, radishes, garlic scapes, broccoli, choice of arugula or broccoli raab, kale, and bok choy.

June 19th Pickup #2:

Romaine lettuce, English peas, Napa cabbage, leeks, salad turnips, choice of spinach or Swiss chard, choice of broccoli raab, mizuna or tatsoi, and choice of cilantro or dill.

June 26th Pickup #3:

Forellenschlus romaine, red leaf lettuce, choice of escarole or endive, kohlrabi, broccoli, fava beans, radishes, choice of arugula or other mustard green, scallions, and choice of dill or cilantro.

July 3rd Pickup #4

Green romaine lettuce, snow peas, English peas, broccoli, cauliflower, choice of escarole or endive (frissee), summer squash, choice of red spinach or Swiss chard, elephant garlic, choice of tatsoi or other mustard green, salad turnips, choice of an herb (parsley, sweet marjoram or summer savory).

July 10th Pickup #5

Broccoli, red lettuce, beets, cabbage, fresh garlic, summer squash, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, radicchio, choice of kale, chard or broccoli raab, red skin potatoes, and basil.

July 17th Pickup #6

Red lettuce, fennel, salad turnips, carrots, sweet onions, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, summer squash, choice of chard or kale, Yukon gold potatoes, cauliflower, and choice of an herb (summer savory, marjoram or parsley).

July 24th Pickup #7

Red romaine lettuce, cauliflower, summer squash, wax beans, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, yellow onions, red potatoes, beets, daikon, and basil.

July 31st Pickup #8

Red Boston Lettuce, carrots, summer squash, peppers, eggplant, white onions, red
cabbage, wax beans, Swiss chard, potatoes, melon, heirloom tomato, choice of an herb.

August 7th Pickup #9
Summer squash, melon, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, choice of savoy or green cabbage, beets, yellow onions, potatoes, choice of kale Swiss chard, Haricot vert beans, choice of ground cherries or cherry tomatoes, and choice of an herb (parsley, cilantro or summer savory).

August 14th Pickup #10

Slicing tomatoes, small tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, summer squash, Haricot vert beans, garlic, white potatoes, fennel, melon, rainbow carrots, choice of ground cherries or cherry tomatoes and basil.

August 21st Pickup #11

Romaine lettuce, beets, white onions, summer squash, Haricot vert beans, choice of kale or chard, peppers, eggplant, choice of melon or watermelon, red potatoes, slicing and small tomatoes, ground cherries, and choice of an herb (parsley, savory, thyme, or lemon, Thai basil).

August 28th Pickup #12

Boston lettuce, choice of tatsoi, dandelion or purslane, eggplant, peppers, slicing and small tomatoes, rattlesnake beans, watermelon, carrots, red onions, white potatoes and choice of an herb.

September 4th Pickup #13

Romaine lettuce, Boston lettuce, rattlesnake beans, heirloom tomato, plum and small tomatoes, leeks, peppers, eggplant, beets, red potatoes, summer squash and choice of an herb (parsley or basil).

September 11th Pickup #14

Green leaf lettuce, choice of kale or Swiss chard, white potatoes, peppers, garlic, celery, small tomatoes, eggplant, rattlesnake beans, carrots, and choice of an herb.

September 18th Pickup #15

Romaine lettuce, peppers, yellow potatoes, bok choy, arugula, radishes, red onions, rattlesnake beans, summer squash, and kale.

September 25th Pickup #16

Cherokee red lettuce, arugula, carrots, yellow onions, kale, choice of tatsoi or other mustard green, red potatoes, summer squash, peppers, and spaghetti squash.

October 2nd Pickup #17

Romaine lettuce, salad turnips, choice of escarole or endive, garlic, broccoli, baby bok choy, choice of arugula or tatsoi, acorn squash, yellow potatoes, and choice of an herb (chives, basil or thyme).

October 9th Pickup #18

Red Boston lettuce, white potatoes, butternut squash, choice of spinach or Swiss chard, choice of arugula or broccoli raab, red onions, choice of escarole or endive (frissee), parsnips, cauliflower, baby bok choy, radishes and choice of an herb (cilantro or parsley).

October 16th Pickup #19

Cherokee lettuce, salad turnips, leeks, peppers, choice of hon tsai tai (a flowering Asian
mustard) or other mustard green, sweet potatoes, choice of arugula or broccoli raab, white potatoes, choice of spinach or Swiss chard, sweet dumpling squash, and choice of an herb (dill or cilantro).

October 23rd Pickup #20

Red or green leaf lettuce, radishes, celery root, choice of arugula or broccoli raab, beets,
choice of spinach or tatsoi, white potatoes, garlic, buttercup squash, broccoli, choice of an herb (parsley or cilantro).

October 30th Pickup #21

Arugula, choice of red Boston or red romaine lettuce, red onions, choice of tatsoi or other mustards, acorn squash, sweet potatoes, carrots,  salad turnips ,baby bok choy, green cabbage. and choice of an herb (cilantro or dill).

November 7th Pickup #22 (Hurricane Sandy)

Romaine lettuce, arugula, carrots, radishes, purple bok choy, choice of tatsoi or other mustard green, savoy cabbage, red potatoes, and choice of an herb.

November 13th Pickup #23

Small heads of lettuce, radicchio, carrots, salad turnips, daikon, kohlrabi, choice of kale, chard or spinach, choice of tatsoi or other mustard green, choice of delicata or sweet dumpling squash.

November 20th Pickup #24

Several small lettuces, parsnips, carrots, tatsoi, salad turnips, leeks, bok choy, celery root, broccoli, baking potatoes, acorn squash and garlic.
