2023 season of weekly vegetable shares

This listing of a previous season’s vegetable shares is just an example, but is fairly representative of what members receive. Generally speaking, when the weather is bad for one crop it is good for another.  Note: Shares start small in the spring and gradually build in size.

 

Week #1 6/13
1 head red leaf lettuce, 1 bunch radishes, 1 bunch tatsoi, 1 bunch choice of herbs (cilantro or dill), 2 bunches spinach, 3 summer squash, ¾ pound garlic scapes, 1 pound English peas. 1 bunch arugula, 1 bunch chervil
 

Week #2 6/20
1 head Cherokee lettuce, 1 head bok choy, 1 bunch fresh garlic, 1 bunch choice of arugula or tatsoi, 1 bunch choice of herbs (cilantro or dill), 1 bunch salad turnips, 2 bunches spinach, 4 summer squash, 1 pound snow peas
1 head endive frisée, 1 bunch choice of herbs (chervil or sweet marjoram)
 

Week #3 6/27
1 head red leaf lettuce, 1 head Napa cabbage, 1 bunch arugula, 1 bunch radishes, 1 bunch herbs (parsley), 2 cucumber, 1 pound sugar snap peas, 2 bunches spinach, 4 summer squash, ¾ pound garlic scapes, 1 head fennel, 1 head escarole 1 bunch herbs (sweet marjoram), 1 pound English peas

Week #4 7/5
1 head red leaf lettuce, 2 kohlrabi, 1 bunch broccoli, 1 bunch scallions, 1 bunch beets, 1 eggplant, 1 bunch choice of herbs (parsley, mint, or thyme), 3 cucumber, 4 summer squash, 2 bunches choice of spinach or Swiss chard, 1 head escarole. Extras:  English peas

Week #5 7/11
1 head green romaine lettuce, 1 head cauliflower, 1 bunch kale, 1 bunch broccoli, 1 bunch carrots, 1 bunch choice of spinach or Swiss chard, 1 bunch choice of herbs (cilantro or dill), 3 eggplant, 2 sweet yellow onion, 4 cucumbers, 4 summer squash, 1 head fennel, 1 head bok choy

Week #6 7/18
Basic: 1 head red leaf lettuce, 1 head cauliflower, 1 bunch broccoli, 1 bunch beets, 1 bunch kale, 1 bunch choice of herbs (cilantro or dill), 2 sweet yellow onion, 6 eggplant, 3 summer squash, 3 cucumber, 1½  pound green beans, 1 head Napa cabbage, 1 head radicchio

Week #7 7/25
1 head red leaf lettuce, 1 head cauliflower, 1 bunch rainbow carrots, 1 bunch kale, 1 bunch choice of herbs (parsley, thyme, mint, or summer savory), 1 head celery, 1 pint cherry tomatoes, 3 heirloom tomatoes, 3 cucumber, 1½ pound green beans, 2 pounds red fingerling potatoes, 4 summer squash, 4 eggplant, ¾  pound shallots, 1 bunch broccoli, ½ pound wax beans

Week #10 8/15
1 head green romaine lettuce, 1 head green cabbage, 2 Korean melons, 1 bunch rainbow carrots, 1 pint cherry tomatoes, 2 eggplant, 4 yellow onion, 4 regular tomatoes, 2 pounds white potatoes, 3 summer squash, 2 bunch choice of herbs (basil, cilantro, dill, or parsley), 1½ pound wax beans, 4 ears sweet corn, 4 peppers, 1 bunch choice of dandelion greens or Swiss chard

Week #11 8/22
1 head magenta lettuce, 1 melon, 1 bunch carrots, 1 bunch kale, 1 bunch choice of herbs (cilantro, dill, or parsley), 2 peppers, 5 regular tomatoes, 12 plum tomatoes, 1 garlic, 3 leeks, 4 summer squash, 4 ears sweet corn, 1½ pound haricot verts green beans,1 pint cherry tomatoes, 1 head bok choy

2 melons, 1 bunch beets, 1 bunch kale, 1 bunch choice of herbs (cilantro or dill), 1 pint cherry tomatoes, ½ pint Uchuva goldenberries, 4 regular tomatoes, 3 red onions, 2 pounds red skin potatoes, 1 pound Langerine Dragon beans, 4 ears sweet corn, 4 sweet colored peppers, 4 summer squash, 1 bunch radishes, 1 bunch scallions, ½ pound Rattlesnake beans

Week #13 9/5
